Newborn Sessions
Newborn sessions take place 5-14 days after birth. Staying in this time frame is a critical piece for a successful newborn session. At this time, the baby is still sleepy enough to be nude and frequently posed and adjusted without waking. While every baby is different, most babies become less likely to cooperate after 14 days of birth.
The studio gives us full access to the endless amount of props. Yes, all of those adorable headbands, hats, blankets and props are in the studio! There is no need to bring outfits for your newborn. We think of our newborn sessions as a nice time for mom and dad to sit back, relax and even get some much needed rest.

aby/Child Studio Sessions
Our studio sessions aren’t your average studio session. Each set is styled with your child in mind. We work to get the most natural smiles and expressions and capture that beautiful little face you love so much. Studio sessions are fabulous for babies and small children. Parents are welcome to join in a few shots as well however we find that family sessions tend to work better in a more open environment without the confines of a studio set up. We have oodles of props available for use in the studio including many accessories to stylize your session. While we have photographed several babies between the newborn and 6 month stage, we recommend 6 months and up (or sitting with or without support) to get the most out of your session.
Baby/Child On-Location Sessions
If you’re looking for candid portraiture that captures a range of emotions, an outdoor or on-location session is a .png)
great option. While it’s our goal to capture personalities perfectly with every type of session, we definitely notice a silly and
playful side come out in children when they are outdoors. Our approach to outdoor sessions is a bit more laid back than that in the studio. While we aim to get several “looking/smiling” photos, your image set will feel natural, organic and unposed. We may ask your children to twirl around, hold hands, sit on a bench, etc., but it certainly won’t look that way in the final product.
Family Sessions
On-location sessions take place in a public place such as a park, beach, or urban area but they may also take place in your home. We will work together to customize and style the session to suit your family best.
During your on-location session we will get a lot of natural shots of your children playing and interacting with you and their surroundings. Personalities really tend to come out in children during these sessions.
Newborn + Maternity Session
Maternity sessions are available for those booking a newborn session with us. They most often take place between 30-38 weeks and can be held in studio or outdoors.
Oh Baby! Package
The growth and changes that occur in a baby’s first year is incredible! The ‘Oh Baby’ Package is a wonderful way to capture all of the amazing milestones from the sleepy and sweet newborn, the smiley sitter and the crawling, standing and maybe even walking phase! See an example.
